The AA groups of the Plzeň Region warmly invite you to the 28th National AA Meeting, which will take place in the serene grounds of the monastery in Teplá near Mariánské Lázně/Toužim from June 20 to June 22, 2025.

The theme and motto of this gathering is spiritual in nature: “I Surrender and I Thank.” This theme was chosen by the group conscience of AA groups, reflecting the historic and spiritual significance of this ancient site, dedicated to Blessed Hroznata. The monastery calls us to patience and perseverance in our journey toward spiritual growth. Through these qualities, as we surrender our burdens and express gratitude for our blessings, we find a timeless connection to Hroznata, a knight who, in the 11th century, founded the monastery in Teplá and a convent in Chotěšov. These became islands of peace, balance, and love amidst the turbulence of the medieval era.

From the life of Blessed Hroznata: “With steadfast patience, he stood as a remarkable and unique example to all who knew him.”

We wish for all attendees to find strength in Teplá for their journey toward healing, sobriety, and inner peace.

Accommodation

For accommodation at the conference, three suitable options are available:

In a hotel

The monastery grounds include a hotel reserved exclusively for this meeting. Additional accommodations have been secured at Pension U Nádraží in the town of Teplá, located about 1.5 km from the monastery.

In a campsite

Additionally, there are two campsites near Bethlehem Pond: Kemp Relax Teplá and Autocamp Betlém.

In a hostel

For those who prefer simplicity, there is also the opportunity to stay in the monks' former cells. This simple accommodation, listed in the registration form under "guest rooms," allows attendees to experience a unique aspect of monastic life.
